Chace got a new trache this morning, it has a valve that allows the air the to get up to his vocal chords so that he can talk. He still speaks a bit soft, and has to breathe every few words, but before today we've basically been lip reading, so it's great! The docs thought he could give it a trial run and see if it works, they thought maybe for a few hours. Well, he's had it all day and hasn't stopped talking. He's called everyone he could to say hi, so it seems to be working just fine. We really want to get some video of him talking on the blog, he would love to say hi to everyone, but the cord doesn't work on my laptop so we'll have to figure it out.
We also had our family Christmas party this past weekend, so Chace had a lot of visitors. If anyone cares to see a bunch of pics from the party you can click here to my niece's blog.
