Chace got a haircut today.
Here's the story: when we were trying to get Chace to eat more, this nurse (one of our favorites :) told Chace he didn't think he could eat all of his food by 11 o'clock, and bet him that if he did, he would wear a diaper around for an hour. Well, there it is:
We have great news: Chace has been given an official discharge date from the hospital! And it's next Tues., the 23rd, which will be here before we know it. He's been doing so great since the trache and feeding tube were removed, his recovery truly has been amazing. They do want him to wear the neck brace for about another month, just to be sure. Our house has been being modified, and is still a bit torn up, but should be near ready when we come home.

It's hard to believe so much has happened in the last 7 weeks. Chace has made so much progress and his attitude has really been great. Thanks for your continued support, and pray for us that the transition to home will be a smooth one.

what a great Christmas present. I am sure it will be an adjustment but It will be nice to be home for Christmas Good luck with everything!!!

Yee Haw! Home for the holidays, there is no place like home! Acia, never doubt how great a mom you are, you have so much strength when was needed, your love has proven itself a thousand times over. Chace your ability to fight was given to you has proved what a strong individual you are and will be in life. Hey Chace you look soooo wonderful!! Love the hair cut! There is a guy here at work that has a flatter version, but he has a different color every day. I really like yours - it fits you! Very exciting to get home for Christmas, that will be soo cool. We ordered a white one for you. Make sure you drive carefully. Will be goo to see you again. I am so impressed with you and your family - you're my heros! Godspeed.
Gene and Acia, chace is a good example to what great parents you two are. Your family is a wonderful family. He wish you and your family all the most wonderful christmas.
